Vision helps in shaping dreams into reality. In today's world, dreams when turned into reality create jobs. This is exactly what Amal did. Jute products always remained the focal point for Amal driving it towards newer ideas and perspectives. It was believed that these encouraged entrepreneurial opportunities for others and Amal became a medium for the same. This venture focused on replacing plastic products with jute thus making way for environmental sustainability. It was not only a breath of fresh air that pacified the environmental grievances but also a livelihood provider to many women associated with them.
Collaborations with schools and other institutes in their vicinity has helped them spread their roots. They like to have young minds on board with them as they are the hope for the future. The idea of an internship programme germinated from this thought itself. This programme has proven to be very useful in providing exposure to students from various colleges and are striving to make them ready for the upcoming future.

Amal is a project undertaken under Enactus GGDSD in December 2015. Enactus GGDSD was founded in January 2015 which is a subsidiary of an international non-profit organization Enactus.

The project started with 7 women who were unemployed and currently there are 60 women associated with the project. These women are now manufacturing jute products which are sold by the students providing a means of livelihood for themselves and their family.
